Phytography is a photo processing technique, originally created by experimental filmmaker Karel Doing. It uses the complex internal chemistry of plants and exposure to sunlight to create images on photographic emulsion. This exhibition piece uses phytography to explore human-plant affinity, drawing inspiration from molecular perception, decay, and ecological consciousness.
These photos were made in collaboration with various plants and fungi foraged from forests, street corners, and fields. Viewers are invited to engage with the hidden visual language of plants, revealed through botanical arrangement and chemical adhesion.
